We urge you to contact the board of Central Health (formerly known as the Travis County Healthcare District) to oppose property tax-funded elective abortions in Travis County. Central Health is currently funding abortions with Travis County property tax dollars. The board is considering an annual budget that continues to include a whopping $450,000 for elective abortions, same as the previous budget.
The abortions -- nearly 1,000 during the next 12 months -- will be performed on demand on healthy mothers with healthy unborn babies. No medical reason or referral is required.
Central Health will take public testimony on Thursday, September 9; then it will vote on the entire budget on Wednesday, September 15. After that, the five members of the Travis County Commissioners Court will vote on the budget on Tuesday, September 21.
Pro-life residents of Travis County are urged to show opposition to the abortion funding! Here's how:
